Study Finds Chevrolet is Top Auto Brand for Millennials

Why Buy A Chevrolet | Fullen Motor Company | Eastland, TX

In the automotive industry, many carmakers know it’s important to appeal to the Millennial generation for their sales. This includes Chevrolet, and it looks like this has been paying off. In a recent study from Autolist, it was revealed that Millennials prefer Chevrolet over every other brand that sells cars in the U.S.

The Millennial generation encompasses those people born between 1981 and 1996, so between the ages of 23 and 38 today. The study Autolist completed looked at 1,750 new car shoppers who were under the age of 36, asking the question: which car brand speaks to your age group the most?

Chevrolet came out on top over every other brand. That included other American automakers and competitors from overseas. Along with Chevrolet being the most liked brand by Millennials, the Chevrolet Silverado was also named the most popular full-size pickup truck among this generation as well.

Millenials also named Chevrolet as the brand that they start their car search with, as well as the brand that man Millennials currently own. Dangers of Drowsy Driving

Dangers of Drowsy Driving | Fullen Motor Company | Eastland, TX

Whether you’ve been driving for days on a work trip or you’re just trying to make it through your morning commute, you might find yourself feeling sleepy and having trouble concentrating on the road. Drowsy driving can be extremely dangerous, so follow these safety tips.

Know the Signs

If you’re yawning a lot and can’t keep your eyes open, you’re drifting into other lanes, missing exits, braking suddenly after getting too close to another vehicle, or any active safety feature your car is equipped with is giving you frequent warnings, you’re in serious danger of driving when drowsy.

Stay Focused

  • Don’t travel alone. Having a passenger who stays awake in the car can help you stay focused.
  • Drink caffeine. Coffee and energy drinks can help you stay awake, but don’t rely on them in place of sleep — if you’re driving on no sleep at all, your odds of getting in an accident are dangerously high.
  • Pull over. If you’re too tired to stay awake, get off the road. Drive in shifts by alternating seats with your driver every so often. Find a safe spot to take a short nap, or check into a hotel and sleep for a few hours if you’re on a road trip by yourself.

To make sure your car is running at its full potential to help keep you safe on the road, schedule a maintenance check at Fullen Motor Company.

Chevrolet Reveals the Formidable & Fearsome 2020 Silverado HD

2020 Silverado HD | Fullen Motor Company | Eastland, TX

This February, Chevy unveiled its all-new 2020 Silverado HD lineup, and it sure is formidable and fearsome. The 2020 Silverado HD is the strongest, most capable Silverado HD ever created by the automaker and provides unparalleled amounts of power, capability, and daring. Not only did the Silverado HD become more powerful for the 2020 model year, but it also became bigger: it’s longer, wider, and taller than its previous iteration.

Backing up the 2020 Silverado HD’s bold presence on the road is a new standard powertrain. The truck comes equipped with a new standard 6.6-liter V8 engine with direct injection technology, which delivers 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. The new engine improves upon the previous engine, offering a 11 percent jump in horsepower, a 22 percent increase in torque, and an 18 percent higher max towing capacity.

Remarkably, such offerings appear humble when compared to the truck’s second powertrain option: the Duramax 6.6-liter Turbo-Diesel V8 engine. This jaw-dropping engine delivers 445 horsepower, 910 lb-ft of torque, and comes mated to a new Allison® 10-speed automatic transmission. Across the board, the 2020 Silverado HD’s diesel drivetrain has been updated, leading it to offer a 52-percent increase in towing capacity compared to the previous model. With this engine, the 2020 Silverado HD is capable of towing up to a whopping 35,500 pounds.

Next-Gen 2019 Silverado Steps Up Its Game

2019 Chevy Silverado

Everybody is waiting for the release of the next-gen Chevy Silverado, which promises unparalleled performance and capability. The new Silverado also promises exceptional value: it will cost $700 less than the previous model.

To develop the new model, Chevrolet focused on optimizing the Silverado’s power, capability, value, and space. To uphold and further the long-standing tradition of exceptional Silverado trucks, the next-gen Silverado offers “more interior and cargo room, higher towing and payload capabilities and a lower starting at MSRP on our highest volume model,” said Brian Sweeney, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet.

Despite its more affordable price tag, the 2019 Silverado will feature an all-new standard 2.7-liter Turbo engine with torque that is superior to the previous standard engine. To elevate your 2019 Silverado even further, you can select the High Country trim that comes with top-of-the-line standard equipment, including a 5.3-liter V8 engine with Dynamic Fuel Management, Lane Change Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, and an Advanced Trailering System. With the Silverado’s six total engine/transmission combinations, you’ll be able to pick the powertrain that best meets your needs.

The next-gen Silverado is larger than the previous generation, but conveniently 450 pounds lighter. It is three inches longer and offers four more cubic feet of cargo room, making for a more spacious cabin and comfortable driving experience. In addition, the new Silverado offers the largest cargo volume of any full-size truck — including short-bed, standard-bed, and long-bed models — at 62.9 cubic feet.
